2016 Wanderlist

After all the excitement that 2015 had to offer and my reflections on the Big move from Glasgow to Milano and the amazing opportunities I crammed in to the four short months and reflection on my Top trips of 2015 I thought it was about time I started thinking about what 2016 had to offer!

2016, the excitement is bubbling inside me, as this will be my first full year abroad and the travel opportunities are endless!

My new mantra…

Not so much a resolution, but a goal, and mine is to visit 20 new places in 2016! I got a scratch map for Christmas and I cannot wait to get scratching !

So here it is, my Wanderlust Wishlist for 2016…

Booked up…

Budapest , Hungary

Next weekend we will be flying from Milan to Budapest with Wizz Air. we will be there for a short 2 day trip, that we plan to cram as much as we can in to! We are staying in the beautiful Lanchid 19 Hotel facing out on to the river. But the top thing on the list is the Szechenyi thermal baths ! They look so relaxing !

Marrakech, Morocco

In Feb, I’m off on a girly holiday with my momma to Morocco. We originally booked for Egypt but our holiday got cancelled, a blessing in disguise because now I think I’m more excited and intrigued by Morocco ! We are staying in the Pullman Marrakech 5* Resort & Spa I cannot wait to go to the centre of Marrakech and experience the buzz of the markets laced with spices and stall vendors and the culture of the red city !

Punta Cana , Dominican Republic

Our best friends are getting married and they’re only getting married at   Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana! Gary and I have visited Dom Rep before but the other side of the island. Bring on paradise for the wedding of the year!

A little island that had always intrigued me! Gary’s family visit a lot and the girls from work have been ! The historical elements and scenery sound and look beautiful, who could resist that view

Vienna, Austria

My friend Eimear living here for a year and all of her stories and pics make me want to go ! It looks absolutely magical at Christmas time

They have a pink beach, enough said !

Where is on your 2016 wanderlist??
Have you ever visited any of these places, where was your favourite ?

Ciao

  1. You have a great bucket list this year! I’ve been to Marrakech, Punta Cana, Croatia, Cinque Terre, and Iceland, and the others are on my list! All of those places I’ve been are magical and incredible and I hope you get to go!

By the way, good for you for making the move…it’s a hard thing to do but well worth it in the end! Milan is so well-located with so many cheap flights in and out…I wish I could make a move like that again!

  2. Sounds like an exciting year so far from what you’ve already booked. Croatia and Cinque Terre are both also on my wanderlist! As well as Santorini, Bora Bora, and a million different other cities…

    1. It’s somewhere I had never thought of really but was suggested as an alternative for Egypt ! When I started looking in to it I actually am so glad that it’s changed because Morocco looks amazing !
Thanks for reading and I’ll be sure to blog about Morocco!

  5. Great list! I have stayed in Budapest (I loved Buda and the amazing alternative bars of the city) and Vienna (huge city with lot of surprising spots! :D). And I share with your wanderlist: Marrakesh, Sardinia and Cinqueterre (I’m moving to Bologna in Spring, so I guess these two Italian destinations will be visited during the year :D). Cheers!! E

  7. I believe so strongly in yearly travel goals. This is awesome! I haven’t been to any of these places. But I plan to go to Park City, Utah; Portland, OR and Ouray, Colorado so far in 2016 over here in the states. Can’t wait to hear about your travels.

  8. Wow that sounds amazing! You’re so fortunate to be able to travel so much and you have some awesome destinations in mind. With college it’s not much of a possibility for me but when I graduate I plan to travel a lot.

Enjoy the experiences, they make life worth living!
